Question from yahoo answers: “Which psychologist could explain best why bunnies don’t fly?” My answer –

Freud: Stop thinking about soft, warm, furry gray things. You can never return to the womb.

Jean Piaget (Developmental Psych): Bunnies can be taught to fly until about the age of 5. After that, they have their adult behavioral repertoire and are either walking bunnies or flying bunnies.

Jung: The bunny is a metaphor for that which is familiar, secure, and non-threatening. When you can teach a familiar, secure, and non-threatening metaphor to fly, the bunny-mares will go away.

Carl Rogers (client centered therapy): How do non-flying bunnies make you feel? Can you accept that? If bunnies do indeed fly over the rainbow, then why oh why can’t you?

2. A sign on a store on Preston Rd. in Dallas called “Light Bulb Solutions” which not only is only half-lit at night, but says “Bulb On” (when half of them are NOT!)
4. Two stores in Dallas just off US-75: “The Casket Store” and “Boxes To Go”.
5. In Plano, TX, a “Wing Stop” franchise just outside the Plano Bird Hospital (a veterinary clinic for birds).

6. Many years ago, in the North Dallas area there were two storefronts not far from each other: Planned Parenthood and a Thai place called “Bangkok Inn”.

Recently on Yahoo Answers, someone asked if they could get a blue “handicapped” badge for their car if they were suffering from colitis. For some reason, this struck me as petty, and I penned this song in response. It goes to the tune of the “Pina Colada Song”.

And to walk is a pain

Then a blue “handicapped” sign

He came to earth illegally, and looking for a job saving humanity that could be done by an EARTH superhero who is now out of a job!!! I say deport him back to Krypton.

Then again, look at the people who COULD save the world but don’t… maybe he’s just doing a job that nobody here would take.
